Where It All Began
Our story began during the April holidays, when I - then a Grade 10 student - visited a protea farm belonging to family friends. The farmer gave me six proteas, and on a whim I posted a photo on social media offering bunches for R30, certain I'd be lucky to get 50 orders. My phone didn't stop ringing - we sold 317 bunches that season, and without realizing it, A&I Fynbos was born.
Demand had grown into requests for fresh flowers and bulk fynbos for weddings. I started saving for my first pennygum (eucalyptus) trees - just 40 to begin with, then 200 more soon after. Today we're proud to have more than 500 trees, supplying florists weekly and even bulk-supplying vendors who deliver to Woolworths - in one season alone, we cut and delivered over 500 bunches in two weeks.
One of my teachers asked us to handle the flowers for an entire wedding. My mom and I took on the challenge as a leap of faith, and it grew into something far bigger than we'd dreamed. Since then, A&I Fynbos has grown organically into full wedding planning, decor, and styling - and being able to do both of my sisters' weddings remains one of our proudest moments.
We started with three weddings in our first year. Today we're regularly booked out months in advance. What began as six proteas and a simple social media post has grown into a family business built on passion, dedication, and a lot of love - and we believe every flower tells a story we're privileged to be part of.
Our Plantation
One of the things we are exceptionally proud of is our own plantation. We currently have over 500+ pennygum (eucalyptus) trees, which enables us to offer fresh, locally grown greenery at affordable prices. We have big plans for the future, and several exciting expansions are already in the pipeline.

Brew Café
Brew Café is A&I Fynbos's other big passion - our mobile coffee trailer that adds a unique experience to any event. It brings excellent coffee to your event while creating a warm, cozy atmosphere where people can socialize and make memories.
